Vincenti & Lampart established its US offices in Coral Gables, Florida in 1997 in an effort to consolidate the partner's know-how and experiences gained over 25 years in the European media and publishing market. In the early 80's, Vincenti & Lampart's C.E.O and majority partner Daniel Deubelbeiss started one of the first desktop publishing companies in Munich, Germany. The company opened offices in other European cities such as London, Amsterdam and Verona, expanding the business into multimedia, video, TV and digital post production.
In the mid-80's the company entered the TV and commercial production business and became TV Company Film- Und Fernseh Produktion GmbH. The TV Company label quickly became one of Europe's top commercial production outfits, shooting TV commercials for Wrigley's Chewing Gum, McDonalds Europe, Coca Cola Europe, Becks Beer, Audi, Proctor & Gamble, Johnston & Johnston, Ferrero, Lindt & Spruengli and many more.
The company built and acquired its own studio facilities in Munich and Amsterdam, built a professional music and sound studio in London and extended the business into the production of musical video clips and special interest TV. As early as 1993 the partners decided to invest into the beginning stages of internet technology. Between 1993 and today they have been involved in more than 300 internet start-ups and built an impressive IT portfolio spanning publishing, e-commerce, fulfillment, internet retail, and all the way to online banking.
Between 1996 and 1998 most of the media companies in the group were sold and the partners concentrated exclusively on their IT portfolio. Daniel Deubelbeiss relocated to Shout Florida and started the private equity and consulting company Vincenti & Lampart with offices in Coral Gables, Florida. The remaining IT portfolio was consolidated under the new brand name "Vanilla", with headquarters in Gibraltar. Vanilla Distribution, PLC eventually became a public company with over 3.000 shareholders. The company prepared for its IPO on the American NASDAQ underwirtten by Ernst & Young and Barclays Bank, Gibraltar. This IPO was thwarted by legal challenges from the British Trade Department. After two years of legal battles in the British court system, the Chairman Daniel Deubelbeiss decided to move ahead and sell the company to a group of Dutch investors who took it private again and relocated the group of Vanilla companies to The Netherlands. Despite some harsh attacks and accusations against Daniel Deubelbeiss in the German media in 2001, no case was ever filled against him, neither civil nor criminal. The UK challanges were ultimatly dissmised.
Over the past 10 years Vincenti & Lampart has lived through dramatic and sometimes difficult changes in the markets. Today Vincenti & Lampart is a lean and highly agile private equity player with interests in publishing, nonfiction TV, entertainment development, foreign publishing and TV rights, internet media and a fast growing beverage brand portfolio. Vincenti & Lampart has presence in Zurich/Switzerland, Liechtenstein, London/United Kingdom, Sao Paulo/Brazil and Herzliya/Israel. Its main office remains in Coral Gables, Florida.
